The provisions of this Article
III shall apply to all of the articles and sections of this chapter.
Police officers acting under this chapter shall use their discretion
either in detaining or citing juveniles or persons whom they suspect
to be juveniles, in determining age, and may require proof of such
age.
Any person, whether adult or juvenile, found to have violated
the provisions of this chapter by a Magisterial District Judge or
a court of competent jurisdiction shall pay a fine of $50 and costs
of prosecution, and, if an adult, in default of the payment of such
fine and costs shall undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
In the event of a juvenile, such failure to pay a fine and costs may
result in the matter being referred to the juvenile justice system
for appropriate disposition. Each violation of the provisions of this
chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
