Licensed taxicabs shall be kept clean and in good condition.
Licensed taxicabs shall prominently display:
A. A sign bearing the word "Taxi" on the exterior of the taxicab.
B. A card with the license number of the vehicle and the rates of transportation
printed thereon, as established by the provisions of this article,
in the interior of the taxicab.

A. The Township is hereby divided into three taxi zones as shown on
a map titled "Taxi Fare Zones," which said map is annexed hereto and
is hereby made a part hereof.
B. Any persons operating a taxicab and licensed by the Township to drive
a taxicab for hire shall be permitted to charge the following rates:
(1) For all fares beginning and terminating in Zone 1: $8.
(2) For all fares beginning in Zone 1 and terminating in Zone 2: $9.
(3) For all fares beginning in Zone 1 and terminating in Zone 3: $10.
(4) For all fares beginning in lesser fare zone and terminating in a
higher fare zone, the fare of the higher zone shall be charged.
(5) For all fares beginning in a higher fare zone and terminating in
a lesser fare zone, the fare of the higher zone shall be charged.
(6) The maximum fare to any point within the Township limits shall not
exceed $10.

(7) For each additional passenger exceeding two persons from the same
pickup point to the same destination point, a charge of $1 per passenger
will be made.
(8) A surcharge of $0.50 for service between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and
6:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday, shall be added to the fare.
(9) There will be a charge of $1.50 for each steamer or foot locker trunk
handled by the driver.

There shall be a charge of $0.50 for each five minutes of waiting
or a fraction thereof in excess of five minutes.
C. Each licensed taxicab and driver shall have posted at all times for inspection a copy of the Taxi Fare Zone Map referred to in Subsection
A of this section, which map shall be furnished by the Township, and the fares referred to in Subsection
B of this section.
It shall be the duty of every driver or operator of any taxicab
to search his vehicle diligently upon the departure of any passenger
for any property left therein and, if any article is found, to turn
it over to the police at police headquarters with the name and address
of the passenger so departing, if the same is known or obtainable.
The Police Department shall thereupon notify such person or advertise
for the owner in the local newspaper if his identity or address is
unknown.
No licensed driver of a taxicab shall refuse to carry any orderly
person applying for transportation who offers to pay the proper fare,
unless the driver is already engaged or is otherwise unable to do
so. The driver may refuse to transport a passenger unless the proper
fare is paid in advance.
