The purpose of this chapter is to assure sites are suitable
for building purposes and human habitation and to provide and promote
flexibility, economy and ingenuity in the layout and design of subdivisions
and land developments, assuring open spaces for traffic, recreation,
light, and air and the proper distribution of population, thereby
creating conditions favorable to the health, safety, morals, and general
welfare of the citizens of the Borough of West Grove.
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "West Grove
Borough Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance."
The provisions of this chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements
to meet the above-stated purposes. Where the provisions of this chapter
impose greater restrictions than those of any statute, other ordinance,
or regulation, the provisions of this chapter shall prevail. Where
the provisions of any statute, other ordinance or regulations impose
greater restrictions than those of this chapter, the provisions of
such statute, ordinance, or regulation shall prevail. This chapter
is severable; and if any provision hereof shall be declared invalid
by any court of appropriate jurisdiction, it is the intention of the
Council that the remainder shall continue to be enforced.
