The Avalon Borough Planning Commission is dissolved, as of the
effective date of this chapter, subject to the conditions set forth
herein.
Avalon Borough Council, acting in concert with the Councils
of Bellevue and Ben Avon, hereby creates and joins the Joint Planning
Commission of Bellevue, Ben Avon, and Avalon, to consist of nine members,
three members to be from Avalon, plus one alternate, where the Avalon
members and the alternate are to be appointed by Avalon Borough Council.
This chapter shall be effective immediately upon the approval
by the third of the three municipalities approving similar ordinances
to create and join the Joint Planning Commission of Bellevue, Ben
Avon, and Avalon. This chapter shall be expressly conditioned upon
all three communities approving such a similar ordinance; should either
of the other municipalities fail to enact such an ordinance, this
chapter shall be void.
