No person shall park, store or occupy a mobile home except:
A. By non-paying guests of the owner or occupant of a lot subject to
the issuance of a permit by the Board of Selectmen or its agent prior
to the occupancy of the lot by the mobile home and only for a period
not to exceed three weeks in any calendar year. A permit may be granted
by the Board of Selectmen or its agent for only one additional three-week
period by the same mobile home in any calendar year. In granting such
permit the Board of Selectmen shall determine whether or not there
shall be any detriment to the neighboring areas.
B. As temporary office or dwelling incidental to construction on the
lot on which the mobile home is located provided that a building permit
for said construction has been issued by the Town that occupancy of
the mobile home does not exceed a period of 12 months; that the mobile
home shall be equipped with running water and connections to a septic
tank or sanitary sewer in a manner approved by the Board of Health
and in accordance with all laws and regulations with respect to health
and sanitation as applied to said mobile homes and that a permit shall
have been issued to the owner of the lot by the Board of Selectmen
or its agent.
Overnight occupancy of mobile homes or recreational vehicles,
on public roads, ways or beaches shall be prohibited except in areas
designed for that purpose by the Board of Selectmen.
Mobile home parks shall be prohibited within the Town of Dartmouth.
Trailers and unoccupied recreational vehicles as defined herein
shall be permitted to be parked or stored on any lot.
Mobile homes placed or located on any premises at the time of passage of this amendment in conformance with a valid permit issued by the Building Commissioner shall thereafter be governed by the provisions of §
375-6.1, Non-conforming Uses, subsequent expiration of said permit notwithstanding.
