A. 
Pursuant to the City Charter, there is hereby created the position of Assistant City Manager.
B. 
The Assistant City Manager shall be an administrative officer of the City, per the requirements of the City Charter, as amended.
C. 
The City Manager may prescribe such duties and responsibilities to the Assistant City Manager which are not inconsistent with the City Charter or with any ordinance or resolution adopted concerning such duties and authorities under authority of the City Charter.
D. 
This article shall not be misconstrued to diminish the duties or responsibilities of the office of City Manager, as established by the City Charter, as amended.
