As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
SNOWMOBILE
A self-propelled motor vehicle designed to travel on snow
or ice or natural terrain steered by wheels, skis or runners and propelled
by a belt-driven track with or without steel cleats.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile
upon any street or highway within the corporate limits, or upon any
public land owned by the municipality, except in an emergency. An
"emergency" is defined as an unforeseen combination of circumstances
and the resulting state that calls for immediate action. (Neb. RS

It shall be deemed a misdemeanor for any person to allow a snowmobile,
either owned or operated by him, to be operated:
A. At a rate of speed greater than reasonable or proper under the surrounding
circumstances.
B. In a careless, reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger persons
or property.
C. Without a lighted headlight and tail light when such would be required
by conditions.
D. In any tree nursery or planting in a manner which damages or destroys
growing stock.
E. Upon any private lands without first having obtained permission of
the owner, lessee or operator of such lands.
F. While under the influence of alcoholic liquor or of any drug.

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or possess any
firearm, bow and arrow, or projectile device while operating or riding
a snowmobile, unless such bow and arrow is enclosed in a carrying
case, or such firearm or projectile device is unloaded and enclosed
in a carrying case; provided that this provision shall not apply to
law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties. (Neb.

Snowmobiles shall be prohibited from operation on the public
lands owned by the municipality, except where allowed by resolution
of the governing body. (Neb. RS 60-6, 338)

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a minibike upon
any street or highway within the corporate limits of the municipality.
For purposes of this section, "minibike" shall mean a two-wheeled
motor vehicle which has a total wheel and tire diameter of less than
14 inches or an engine rated capacity of less than 45 cubic centimeters
displacement or any other two-wheeled motor vehicle primarily designed
by the manufacturer for off-road use only. (Neb. RS 60-121; 60-6,
