A. 
Pursuant to P.L. 2023, c. 205,[1] the Wood-Ridge Board of Health shall be comprised of the members of the Wood-Ridge Borough Council, who shall possess all powers, exercise all authorities, perform all duties, and fulfill all responsibilities of the Board of Health as provided by law, regulation or ordinance.

B. 
The Board of Health shall annually elect a President and Vice President, respectively, and shall hold its public meetings and conduct its public business either concurrently with a public meeting of the Mayor and Council or separately at a public meeting of the Board of Health, in which case, an official notice of said Board meeting shall be issued.
C. 
All public notices of a meeting of the Mayor and Council shall also constitute public notice of a meeting of the Board of Health. Any and all official actions of the Board of Health may be included on an agenda of, and conducted at, a meeting of the Mayor and Council, in which case, all such actions shall be recorded in the official minutes and ordinance books of the Mayor and Council.
A. 
The Board of Health shall have the power and authority to adopt ordinances relating to the protection of the health of Borough residents, shall employ necessary personnel and fix their salaries, and shall have under its jurisdiction the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the Borough, the Health Officer and such other employees as are necessary to carry out its duties. The Board of Health shall have all the jurisdiction conferred upon boards of health by Title 26 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated.
B. 
The Board may elect to either, directly or through the Borough of Wood-Ridge, enter into shared services agreements and/or inter-local service agreements with other boards of health and/or any municipality, board of education and/or county for the provision of services and/or personnel necessary to perform its powers and duties.
C. 
The Board may elect to have the salaries and wages of its employees be established by the Borough Council. The operations of the Board are subject to the annual appropriation of the Borough Council.
