Town of Westernport, MD Chapter 156 Parks

§ 156-1 Hours of operation; special permit.

A. All parks within the corporate limits of the Town of Westernport and maintained by the Town shall be opened from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and closed from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. of the following day, unless otherwise posted by order of the Mayor and Commissioners.

B. The Mayor and Commissioners may, by special permit issued in writing, authorize a group of people to remain in a Town park after closing. This permit shall be issued upon application to the Clerk's office for good cause shown.

§ 156-2 Violations and penalties.

Anyone found on park property during these closed hours shall be guilty of a municipal infraction subject to Chapter 135 of the Code of the Town of Westernport.
