A. Any new or reconstructed (by excavation) water main, water service
line, sewer gravity main, force (pressure) sewer main, gravity sewer
lateral or pressure sewer lateral that is installed and connected
to the City of Strafford water and sewer system, within the public
right-of-way, shall be required to have tracer wire or other utility
location technology and an access point installed.
B. The access point shall be an approved protective enclosure at grade
and installed such that it may be easily located and accessed.
C. Tracer wire or other utility location technology shall be placed
in the approved protective enclosure and along the water or sewer
line within the public right-of-way to provide the approximate location
of the water or sewer line.
D. Any water new or reconstructed water main, water service line, gravity
sewer main, sewer force (pressure) main, gravity sewer lateral or
pressure sewer lateral, within the public right-of-way that does not
have tracer wire or other utility location technology and an access
point, will not be allowed to be connected to the City of Strafford
water and sewer system.
