No building permit shall be issued for the erection
of any building or structure in an unapproved subdivision or on a
lot abutting an unaccepted highway or street; provided, however, that
this article shall not prevent the issuance of a building permit for
the construction of a building or structure on a lot a plan for which,
at the time of the adoption of this article, was on record in the
office of the Town Clerk and which abutted an accepted highway or
street or a highway or street which was actually in use for vehicular
travel or for the construction of farm or accessory buildings which
are not in violation of the zoning regulations of the Town.

In accordance with C.G.S. § 29-253,
the State Building Code of the State of Connecticut, including all
amendments thereto, is hereby adopted as the Building Code for the
Town of Farmington.
