The Village Board shall designate and maintain a list of streets designated as emergency snow routes.

Editor's Note: Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).
All such streets described in § 265-51 shall be posted with signs not less than 12 inches by 18 inches, having a white background with black letters stating: "Snow Route; No Parking After 2:00" or "Snow Route; Tow-Away Zone."
At such time as snow shall accumulate to a depth of two inches or more, the Village President is also authorized to declare a snow emergency, and upon such declaration shall promptly notify such newspapers of general circulation within the Village that he deems desirable and all local radio stations broadcasting locally within the Village which he deems desirable.
Upon the declaration of a snow emergency and notification to the news media, all owners of vehicles which may be parked upon streets designated as emergency snow routes shall promptly remove their vehicles from the street.
Within 12 hours after the declaration of the snow emergency, any vehicle which has not been removed from the snow route shall be towed away at the owner's expense.
At such time as the emergency snow route has been cleared of snow, parking in areas where parking is permitted by ordinance shall again be permitted.
Whoever violates any provision of this article shall be fined not less than $10 and not more than $500 for each offense. Each day's violation shall constitute a separate offense.
