There shall be a Board for the Town of Milo, Yates County, New
York, to be known as the "Town of Milo Planning Board," consisting
of seven members appointed according to the requirements of Article
16 of the Town Law, the initial members of which shall be appointed
as follows: one member for a term of one year, one member for a term
of two years, one member for a term of three years, one member for
a term of four years and one member for a term of five years. Subsequent
members shall be appointed for terms of five years.

This article shall be known as the "Change in Term for New Appointees
and Reappointments as Members of the Town of Milo Planning Board."
The Town Board has adopted this article under the authority
of § 271 of the New York Town Law and § 10(1)(ii)(a)(1)
of the New York Municipal Home Rule Law.
It is the intent of the Town Board to supersede the provisions
of Subdivisions 4 and 5 of New York State Town Law § 271
with respect to the terms of office for new appointees and reappointments
of members to the Town of Milo Planning Board.
All new appointees and reappointments to the Town of Milo Planning
Board shall be appointed for a term of three years. Members now in
office shall continue to serve until expiration of their respective
present terms.
