A.
No person owning, harboring, keeping, walking or protecting any dog, whether licensed or unlicensed, shall permit said dog to run at large or unleashed off the premises owned, leased, rented or occupied by such person within the territorial limits of the Borough.
B.
No person owning, harboring, keeping, walking or protecting any dog shall permit such dog to be taken upon any municipally owned park, playground or athletic field.
C.
Any dog found running at large in violation of this chapter shall be subject to seizure, and if not redeemed within a period of seven days as provided by N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.16, the Chief of Police or the Animal Control Officer may, in his discretion, place each such unclaimed dog in a legitimate home or have it destroyed.[1]
