As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Includes dogs and cats, as well as other common household
pets, such as fish, hamsters, gerbils and birds, which are commonly
maintained indoors. This term shall exclude all farm animals including,
but not limited to, horses, mules, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, cattle,
livestock, geese, fowl and poultry, other similar animals and wild
or dangerous animals whether maintained as pets or otherwise.
No person shall permit any animal owned by him/her or under his/her control, other than a domestic animal, as defined in §
70-26 above, to run at large or be pastured on any public street, park or land. Any domestic animal running at large shall otherwise be under the control of the owner as required hereby and/or by other chapters of this Code.
No person shall maintain, house or harbor any animal, other
than a domestic animal, as defined in § 76-26 above, in
the Town of Salina.
Any person convicted of a violation of this article shall be subject to a penalty pursuant to §
1-14 of the Town of Salina Code.
