The Building Inspector can be removed only for cause after a public hearing before the Village Board on specific charges.
The Building Inspector must have satisfactory experience or professional training in building construction and design.[1]

Code enforcement personnel may require testing agencies, whenever they find doing so necessary to ensure compliance with applicable laws. The cost of such field testing shall be paid by the property owner.

The Village shall defend and indemnify the code enforcement personnel against judgment or liability for any official action taken or decision made under this Code or other applicable laws.
