As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
EXOTIC ANIMAL
Any live animal, except:
A. 
Dogs and cats.
B. 
Nonpoisonous tropical and goldfish.
C. 
Domesticated rats, mice, hamsters and guinea pigs.
D. 
Captive-bred parrots and parakeets.
E. 
Moths and butterflies.
F. 
Other domestic animals as defined in § 108 of the Agriculture and Markets Law.
PET
Any animal kept for pleasure rather than utility.
VICIOUS ANIMAL
Any animal, other than guard dogs, that constitutes a physical threat to human beings or other animals.
Anyone convicted of violating this article shall be fined $25 per day of violation and will be required to surrender the animal to Village authorities.
