A. 
Purpose. In order to enforce parking rules and regulations set forth in the Gallatin, Missouri, City Code, Police Officers of the City of Gallatin may issue a non-judicial summons or citation for violations of this Chapter 355, including all Sections hereof, of the City of Gallatin Code.
B. 
Fines. Fines shall be imposed for the following violations in the following amounts:

Parking on a roadway for the principal purpose of displaying a vehicle for sale

C. 
Payment Of Fines. Fines can be paid directly to the City of Gallatin by presenting the ticket and payment in the appropriate amount at Gallatin City Hall during normal business hours; or by placing the prescribed fine and ticket in an envelope to be provided and delivering said envelope to the City's utility bill drop box located on the west side of City Hall; or by mailing the fine and ticket in the envelope provided to the City of Gallatin. All fines must be paid and received by the City of Gallatin prior to the due date set forth in the summons or citation. The amount of the fine shall be doubled if the fine is not paid within the prescribed time set forth on the citation or summons. If the fine is not received within thirty (30) days of the issue date set forth on the citation or summons, the City Attorney may cause a court summons to be issued and forwarded to the person alleged to have violated the provisions of this Chapter 355 of the City of Gallatin Code, or any Section hereof, and said person shall appear in the Associate Circuit Court of Daviess County, Missouri, Municipal Division, for disposition of the charge.
D. 
Dispute. Any person who disputes the validity of any citation or summons issued pursuant to this Section must notify the City Clerk, in writing, of said dispute. The City Clerk shall then notify the City Attorney who may file a charge in the Associate Circuit Court of Daviess County, Missouri, Municipal Division in order to dispose of the charge.
