The purpose of this chapter is to promote the general health,
safety and welfare by enforcing the adopted codes.
This chapter is adopted under the authority granted by § 101.12,
Wis. Stats.

The following Wisconsin Administrative Codes, their referenced
codes and standards, and subsequent revisions are adopted for municipal
enforcement by the Town's Building Inspector, who shall be commercially
certified by the Wisconsin Division of Industry Services.

Chapters SPS 320 through 325 Uniform Dwelling Code
Chapters SPS 361 through 366 Wisconsin Commercial Building Code
Chapters SPS 375 through 379 Buildings constructed prior to
the 1914 Code

The Town's Building Inspector shall be promptly certified by
the State of Wisconsin to perform the inspections under the building
codes adopted by the Town and shall have the authority to perform
those inspections and enforce those building codes on behalf of the
Town.
No person shall build or cause to be built any new public building
or alter a public building without first submitting plans and specifications
to the Town's Building Inspector and obtaining a building permit
for such building.
Building permit fees shall be determined by motion/resolution
adopted by the Town Board and shall be set forth in the Town's
Fee Schedule.
Enforcement of this chapter shall be by means of withholding
of building permits, imposition of forfeitures and injunctive action.
Forfeitures shall be not less than $25 nor more than $1,000 for each
day of noncompliance.
