This chapter shall be known and cited as the "Parking Restrictions
Law of the Town of Highland."
The purpose of this chapter is to restrict parking in specified
areas of the Town of Highland in the interest of public safety.

No motor vehicle or other vehicle of any kind shall be allowed
or permitted to park in a certain area of the Town of Highland, which
area is described as follows:
A. Both sides of the highway known as County Road No. 12, Town of Highland,
also designated as New York State Highway No. 55, from the northerly
line of Tax Parcel No. 13-4-21 (Decumber) and No. 13-5-1.3 (Decumber)
to the southerly lines of Tax Parcels No. 6-1-41 (Old Eldred Cemetery)
and No. 6-1-33 (Montoza Cemetery) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m. on school days, except for Cemetery services.
B. The easterly side of the highway known as County Road No. 11, also
designated as New York State Highway No. 55, from the intersection
with County Road No. 32 to the southerly line of Tax Parcel No. 13-6-16.1
(Town of Highland), between the hours of 10.00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
C. Standing or parking at the cul-de-sac at the end of County Road 11A,
also known as "Mail Road Extension," Barryville, New York shall be
restricted as follows:

(1) there
shall be no standing or parking of any vehicles between the hours
of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
(2) There
shall be no standing or parking at any time for buses containing over
15 passengers.
(3) There
shall be no standing or parking of commercial vehicles, except pickup
trucks, at any time.
A violation of this chapter is hereby declared to be a traffic
infraction and any person violating same may, upon conviction, be
punished as provided in Article 45 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law
of the State of New York or any amendments or substitution thereof.
In addition thereto, any vehicle violating this chapter may be towed
from the area that parking is prohibited, by the Town of Highland
or its duly authorized agents or representatives, which towing shall
be at the expense of the owner thereof.
