That from and after the enactment of this Part 1 it shall be
unlawful for any person or persons, firm or firms, corporation or
corporations who own, lease or in any manner have possession of any
lots within the limits of the Borough of Watsontown, to keep weeds
and similar vegetation growing thereon in a wild and uncut fashion,
and to permit garbage or refuse of any kind or description to be placed
and or to remain thereon. All such owners, lessees or possessors of
said lots are hereby required to keep said weeds or similar vegetation
cut to a height of not more than 10 inches, and to move all garbage
or refuse of whatsoever kind or description heretofore placed thereon.

All matters referred to in §
10-101 of this Part
1 are declared to be a nuisance and abatable according to law as such. Any person or persons, firm or firms, corporation or corporations violating this Part
1 shall, within 10 days after receipt of written notice from the Watsontown Borough Secretary so to do, cut weeds or similar vegetation growing on lot or lots, owned, leased, or possessed by him, her, it or them, as required in this Part
1, and/or removed garbage or refuse of any kind or description from said lot or lots, otherwise the same may be done by order of said Watsontown Borough Council, and the cost thereof assessed and filed against the lot or lots concerned and collected in the manner provided by law in the case of other municipal claims.

Any person or persons violating the terms of this Part 1 shall
be guilty of a summary offense and, upon conviction thereof before
a Magisterial District Judge in the County of Northumberland, shall
be subject to the payment of a fine not to exceed $600, together with
costs of prosecution, and in default of the payment of same shall
be imprisoned in the Northumberland County Prison for a period of
30 days; and any firm or firms, corporation or corporations which
shall allow the provisions of this Part 1 to be violated shall be
subject to a penalty not to exceed $600 to be recovered, with costs,
the same as debts of like amount are recoverable by law.
