Within 120 days after the enactment of this Part, any owner, tenant or occupier of any property within the Borough who maintains a fire, smoke or burglar alarm whose activation results in the contacting, either directly or indirectly, of the Union County Emergency Dispatcher, shall register with the Borough Office the name, address and phone number of a responsible party to be contacted in the event of the alarm(s)' activation. It shall be the duty of said registrant to notify the Borough Office of any changes in this information, within 14 days thereof.

It shall be unlawful for an owner, tenant or occupier to fail to properly maintain a fire, smoke or burglar alarm system resulting in response by the Warrior Run Volunteer Fire Department or Watsontown Police Department to a false alarm. For the purposes of this Part, response by the Warrior Run Volunteer Fire Company or the Watsontown Police Department to more than one false alarm due to an improperly maintained fire, smoke or burglar alarm system or service in any thirty-day period shall be considered failure to properly maintain such a system or service, and a violation of this section.

It shall be unlawful for an owner, tenant or occupier to negligently set off a fire, smoke or burglar alarm system or service resulting in a response by the Warrior Run Volunteer Fire Department or Watsontown Police Department to a false alarm. For the purposes of this Part, a response to more than one false alarm due to negligently setting off such a system in any thirty-day period shall be considered a violation of this section.

The activation of an alarm system through mechanical failure, malfunction, improper installation, or the negligence of the owner, tenant or occupier or lessee of an alarm system, or his employees or agents, shall be considered a "false alarm" for the purpose of this Part.

Any person or persons who shall violate any provision of this Part shall, for every such violation, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $50 or not more than $600, and costs of prosecution; and, in default of payment of fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Provided: each day on which any such violation takes place shall constitute a separate violation.
