There is hereby established the Marketing/Communications Advisory
Committee.
The purposes of the Advisory Committee shall be as follows:
A. Assist the Mayor and Council and departments/committees/boards/commissions
of Chester Township in working collaboratively in order to ensure
coherent and effective communications with the public.
B. Provide the public with timely, accurate, and complete information
about Chester Township's policies, programs, services and initiatives.
C. Develop a marketing and communication plan that will support Chester
Township's strategic goals to enhance revenues, improve property
values, promote a positive town image and attract people to live in
and visit Chester Township.
D. Build relationships with local press, realtors, and other affinity
groups.
The Mayor shall appoint, subject to Council confirmation, no
more than five persons for terms of one year. Each person shall be
a bona fide resident of the Township of Chester. Members shall commence
to serve their terms immediately upon appointment. The liaisons for
this Committee will be the Communications Officer and the Recreation
Director.
The Committee shall report to the Mayor and Council and make
recommendations for the implementation of the above stated purposes.
The Mayor shall appoint a Chairperson from the membership of
the Committee who shall preside over all meetings and be charged with
reporting the recommendations of the Committee, in writing or in person,
to the Mayor and the Township Council. The Committee shall designate
a Vice Chairperson who shall preside in the absence of the Chairperson.
