From and after the passage and approval of this article, the
playing of any mechanical piano or organ, orchestra, victrola, radio
or other instrument or instruments or devices for the production of
music or other form of entertainment is prohibited in any restaurant,
public eating house, public hall or dance platform within the Borough
of Springdale after 12:00 midnight, except the sound be confined within
the premises.

If any person or persons, association or associations desire
to hold a dance or entertainment in a public hall or platform with
music to continue after 12:00 midnight, they may obtain a permit for
so doing from the Secretary of Council at the Borough building without
charge. The cost of the permit shall be $50 unless changed or modified
by Council for the Borough of Springdale from time to time by resolution.

Any person or persons, corporations, or organizations found
guilty of violating any provisions of this article shall, upon conviction
thereof by the Magisterial District Judge, be fined the sum of not
less than $300 nor more than $600, and, upon failure to pay, incarcerated
in the Allegheny County Jail for a period not exceed 30 days.

Hereafter, every corporation, partnership or individual desiring
to conduct or exhibit any carnival, circus or similar public entertainment
within the Borough of Springdale shall, before doing so, obtain a
license therefor from the Borough Clerk.
The amount to be paid for such license shall be the sum of $100
for one day; $190 for two days; $270 for three days; $340 for four
days; $400 for five days and $50 per day thereafter, to be paid to
the Borough Clerk.

This article shall not apply to school, church or bona fide
veterans' or fire department entertainments where the proceeds
are used for charitable, benevolent or educational purposes.
All fees for licenses obtained under this article shall be turned
over to the Fire Department of the Borough of Springdale.
Anyone violating the provisions of this article, upon conviction
before the Mayor of the Borough or a Magisterial District Judge, shall
be fined not less than $100 nor more than $200, in default of payment
of which they shall undergo imprisonment in jail for a period of 30
days.
Each day said carnival, circus or similar public entertainment
is carried on without a license shall be considered a separate offense,
and separate informations therefor shall be made.
