From and after the effective date of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to blast or use any explosive in any excavation or construction work within the Municipality without adequately covering the same with a wire mat or hemp mat or some other covering equivalent thereof, so that no loose stones or dirt or fragments thereof shall be thrown about endangering the lives and property of citizens of the Municipality.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of § 6-201 herein shall, upon conviction before the District Justice{40}, forfeit and pay, for the use of the Municipality, the sum of not less than $5 and costs of prosecution and not more than $100 and costs of prosecution and, upon failure to pay the same upon conviction, shall undergo imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of not more than 30 days.

From and after the passage of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person to set off, fire or explode within the limits of said Municipality at any time, not excepting State or national holidays, any fireworks, firecrackers, sparklers, squibs, rockets, pellets, tablets, hollow canes, toy or other pistols, guns, revolvers or pistols, springs or otherwise, or any species of pyrotechnic containing gunpowder, picric acid, picrates, dynamite or any other kinds of explosives whatsoever.

Any person violating any of the provisions of § 6-203 and all persons in charge or standing in loco parentis to any child or children who have not arrived at the age of criminal responsibility and who have violated any of the provisions of § 6-203, shall, upon conviction thereof before the District Justice{50}, be subject to a fine of not less than $2 nor more than $25 (at the discretion of said District Justice){60} for each offense and, in default of the payment of said fine and costs of prosecution, shall be imprisoned in the County Jail for a period not exceeding one day for each dollar of fine and costs imposed.
