Receptacles and containers used for the collection of solid
waste and recycling materials may be placed at the street or curb
no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before the scheduled collection
date on the following day. Such containers and recyclables must be
removed from the street or from the curb by 8:00 p.m. on the day the
collection takes place.
Items of bulky trash and white goods and appliances may be placed
at the street or at the curb no earlier than one week prior to the
scheduled collection day. In the case of appliances such as refrigerators,
all doors to the appliances must be removed prior to being placed
at the street or at the curb. Any receptacle or containers used in
connection with bulky trash shall also be removed from the street
or from the curb by 8:00 p.m. on the day of collection.
The provisions of this article may be enforced by the Police
Department, the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works,
the Director of Code Enforcement, and the Zoning and Property Maintenance
Official.
Any person violating the provisions of this article shall be subject to such fines and penalties as set forth in §
1-15 of the Borough Code.
