Unless otherwise provided by law, only the County Board Chair
or the County Board shall have the authority to create County committees,
boards and commissions required by statute. Any committee, board or
commission that is not created by either the County Board Chair or
the County Board does not become a committee, board, or commission
of the County Board simply because the County Board becomes aware
of its existence or activities.

The Public Safety Committee is hereby designated to be the Emergency Management Committee. The duties and responsibilities of the committee shall be as prescribed by statute and Chapter
26, Emergency Management, of this Code. See § 323.14(1)(a)3., Wis. Stats.
This Committee is authorized, pursuant to § 83.015, Wis. Stats., and shall be appointed and fulfill the duties set forth in Ch. 83, Wis. Stats., and as outlined in §
15-31. The Public Works Committee is hereby designated to be the Highway Committee. Any vacancies occurring during a term shall be filled by the County Board for the balance of the term. See § 83.015(1)(c), Wis. Stats.

the duties and responsibilities of this committee.

There is hereby established a County Parks Commission pursuant
to § 27.02, Wis. Stats., comprised of seven members. The
members of the Parks Commission shall be comprised of the Land Use
and Planning Committee, the Chairperson of the County Board, and the
Farm Service Agency Chairperson or designee.

There is hereby established, pursuant to § 45.81,
Wis. Stats., a County Veterans' Service Commission, consisting of
three residents of the County who are veterans, appointed for staggered
three-year terms by the County Executive, subject to § 59.17(2)(c),
Wis. Stats. The Commission shall be organized and shall have those
powers and duties as established in Ch. 45, Wis. Stats.
