AN ACT to provide a special charter for the town of Westfield,
in the county of Union.
WHEREAS, the mayor and council of the town of Westfield have
prepared and recommended the enactment of a special charter for the
town of Westfield, in the county of Union; and
WHEREAS, the mayor and council of the town of Westfield have
duly petitioned the Legislature for the enactment of a special charter
pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 of chapter 199 of the laws
of 1948, as amended, and in accordance with the requirements of Article
IV, Section VII, paragraph 10 of the Constitution of 1947; now therefore,
BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and General Assembly of the State
of New Jersey:
