As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
The willful making or causing to be made of any loud, boisterous
and unseemly noise or disturbance to the annoyance of the peaceable
residents nearby or near to any public highway or other public place
whereby the public peace is broken or disturbed or the traveling shall
include:
A.
The racing or backfiring of automobile engines for any purpose
other than bona fide testing or repair by a mechanic; and
B.
The screeching of vehicle brakes or tires because of unreasonably
rapid acceleration or deceleration or because of driving around curves
at unreasonable speeds, where such result is not reasonably required
by emergency traffic or mechanical conditions, and regardless of whether
any of said acts may or may not endanger persons or property and thereby
constitute "reckless driving" under the Vehicle Code.
Any person who shall be convicted before the Mayor or any Magisterial
District Judge of this Borough of the commission of disorderly conduct
(as herein defined) within this Borough shall be sentenced to pay
a fine of not less than $10, or more than $100, for the use of the
Borough, and, in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned in
the Lancaster County Jail for a period not exceeding 30 days.
