[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Macedon as indicated in article histories. Amendments noted where applicable.]
[Adopted 11-9-1995 by L.L. No. 7-1995 (Ch. 35, Art. I, of the 1996 Code)]
[Amended 6-13-1996 by L.L. No. 3-1996]
It is the purpose of this article to protect the public interest, health, safety and welfare within the Town of Macedon by prohibiting the consumption of alcoholic beverages upon any lands, facilities, streets, parks, playgrounds owned, operated or controlled by the Town of Macedon or public or private parking lots within the Town of Macedon. The Town Board finds that these purposes can also be accomplished by restricting the possession of an open or unsealed container of alcoholic beverages under circumstances that indicate that the possessor of such open or unsealed container in any fixed location owned, operated or controlled by the Town or in public or private parking lots within the Town intends to consume the same or intends to have it consumed by another person.
For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings herein ascribed to them; all other words shall have the meanings normally ascribed to them.
