Words and phrases as used in this article shall have the following
meanings:
A computer chip implanted underneath the skin of an animal
(in the universal position between the shoulder scapulas) which contains
information relating to that animal.

The fee for microchipping shall be $25 per animal microchipped.
Prior to microchipping by the Town of any dog or cat of licensing
age as defined in this chapter, the owner shall be required to produce
a valid license and registration tag for such dog or cat.
