[Added 6-13-2022 by Ord. No. 22-07]
A. For any
projects for which the Borough solicits bids for construction or demolition
services, the Borough will require bid proposals to include a plan
for recycling/reclamation of construction and demolition materials.
The plan shall estimate the types and amounts of construction and
demolition materials to be generated by the project, and estimated
quantities to be recycled, reused or taken to a licensed reclamation
facility(s). The plan will identify the specific facilities that will
accept and document the materials, and such documentation will be
provided to the Borough. The plan will provide for recovery of all
commonly recyclable construction and demolition materials, with a
minimum recycling rate of 50% by weight to the extent practicable.
B. The bid
proposal shall also be required to describe how regulated Class A
recyclables (currently glass containers, plastics #1 & #2, steel/tin,
aluminum, paper and corrugated) will be collected on-site and transported
to a recycling facility. Documentation of proper recycling disposal
shall be provided to the Borough to the extent practicable.
