As used in this chapter:
DOG OF LICENSING AGE
Shall mean a dog, male or female, spayed or unspayed, which
has attained the age of seven months or which possesses a set of permanent
teeth.
OWNER OF A DOG
Shall mean a person who has a right of property in a dog
or who has a dog in his keeping.

a. The annual fee for a dog license in the Township shall be $21 for
each dog of licensing age (which includes $1 for the required registration
tag and $0.20 to be designated for the Pilot Clinic Fund).
b. In addition to the fee imposed in the preceding paragraph, any person
applying for a dog license shall pay a $3 annual fee for any dog of
reproductive age which has not had its reproductive capacity permanently
altered through sterilization. This fee is to be designated for the
Animal Population Control Fund.
c. The fees set forth in subsection
5-1.3a and
5-1.3b are waived for dogs that have been trained and are used as guide dogs and service dogs, and for dogs that are being trained for such purposes.

Any person owning, keeping or harboring a dog of licensing age during the month of January in any year who fails to obtain the license required by subsection
5-1.2 of this chapter prior to February 1 of that year shall be required to pay a delinquent fee of $5 in addition to the fees required by subsection
5-1.3. When applying for a license on and after February 1 in any year, a person owning, keeping or harboring a dog of licensing age shall present evidence to establish that the dog was acquired or became of licensing age after February in that year.

As used in this section:
DOG
Shall mean both a male or female, spayed or unspayed, dog.
OWNER OF A DOG
Shall mean any person or persons, firm, association or corporation
owning, keeping or harboring a dog.
TO RUN AT LARGE
Shall mean to be off the premises of the owner and not under
the control of the owner, a member of his immediate family, or his
or their agent, either by leash, cord, chain or otherwise.
