A Municipal Court for the Township of Millstone in Monmouth
County is established as of January 1, 1949, pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter 264 of the Laws of 1948, as amended and supplemented.

The name of the Municipal Court shall be "Municipal Court of
the Township of Millstone in the County of Monmouth."

The Municipal Court shall have a seal which shall bear the impress
of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be
appointed by the Township Committee. The Judge shall serve for a term
of three years from the date of his appointment and until his successor
is appointed and qualified.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive such salary as
may be provided by appropriate ordinance.

The Municipal Court and Judge of the Municipal Court shall have,
possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction
conferred by the provisions of Chapter 264 of the Laws of 1948, as
amended and supplemented, or by any other law.

There shall be an Administrator of the Municipal Court and,
if necessary, in the discretion of the Township Committee of the Township
of Millstone, a Deputy Administrator of the Municipal Court, who shall
be appointed by resolution of the Township Committee, and who shall
serve for a term of one year from the date of their respective appointments
and until their successors are appointed and qualified. The Township
Committee may, by resolution, designate any officer or employee of
the Township of Millstone to serve as Administrator or Deputy Administrator
of the Municipal Court without additional compensation or with such
additional compensation as shall be hereafter fixed by resolution
of the Township Committee as an annual salary, to be paid in the same
manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid, and which
shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and any other allowances whatsoever.
Such Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Municipal Court,
if appointed, shall perform such functions and duties as shall be
prescribed for them by law and the rules applicable to municipal courts
and municipal judges.

The Municipal Court shall be held at such place and location
as the Township Committee designates. The Judge of the Municipal Court
shall sit on such days and at such times as the business of the Court
may require until the calendar is completed, and at such other times
as the business of the Court may require, and at such other times
as may be required hereafter by law or by direction or order of the
Township Committee, always subject to the rules applicable to municipal
courts.
