The Homestead Borough Planning Committee is
hereby abolished.
The Homestead Borough Planning Department Advisory
Committee is hereby abolished.
A Borough of Homestead Planning Commission consisting
of three citizens of the Borough of Homestead who shall not be officers,
employees or members of the Council of the Borough of Homestead, and
two citizens of the Borough of Homestead who may be officers, employees
or members of the Council of the Borough of Homestead, is hereby established.
The members of the Planning Commission shall
be appointed by resolution of the Council of the Borough of Homestead.
Three of the members first appointed shall serve for a term of four
years, or until their successors are appointed and qualified; and
two of the members first appointed shall serve for a term of three
years, or until their successors are appointed and qualified. Thereafter,
any person appointed as a member of the Borough of Homestead Planning
Commission shall serve for a term of four years.
The Borough of Homestead Planning Commission shall have all powers and be subject to all the duties set forth in Chapter
22, Subdivision and Land Development, Ordinance No. 1016, as amended by Ordinance No. 1031, Ordinance No. 1088, Ordinance No. 1090 and as hereafter amended from time to time.
Those provisions of Chapter
22, Subdivision and Land Development, Ordinance No. 1016, as amended by Ordinance No. 1031, which were repealed by Ord. No. 1082 are hereby reenacted, except to the extent that they would have been repealed by any ordinance enacted subsequent to Ordinance No. 1082.
All references, if any, to the "Planning Committee" in Chapter
22, Subdivision and Land Development, Ordinance No. 1016, as amended by Ordinance No. 1031, Ordinance No. 1088 and Ordinance No. 1090, are hereby amended to be "Planning Commission."
This article shall become effective on the day
that the members of the first Planning Commission appointed hereunder
are so appointed by resolution of Borough Council.
