A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to locate a trailer or an automobile trailer, or to park or occupy any such trailer as a dwelling or business establishment, within the limits of the Borough of Lawnside except as provided in this chapter.
B. 
No person shall park or occupy any trailer on the premises of any occupied dwelling or on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwelling, except the parking of only one unoccupied trailer in an accessory private garage building or in a rear yard in any district is permitted, provided that no living quarters shall be maintained or any business practiced in said trailer while such trailer is parked or stored.
C. 
Emergency or temporary stopping or parking of an automobile trailer on any street, roadway or highway for not longer than one hour, subject to any other and further prohibition, regulation or limitations imposed by the traffic and parking regulations or ordinances for that street, roadway or highway, shall be excepted from the prohibition in this chapter.
D. 
Trailers will only be permitted as a dwelling, when a residence principal dwelling has become inhabitable due to fire, water, wind or any other natural disaster, for a period of no more than 90 days, while the principal dwelling is being repaired. Only one requested extension can be approved by Zoning Code Official with said extension not to exceed 90 days.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AUTOMOBILE TRAILER OR TRAILER
Any vehicle or structure so designed and constructed in such manner as will permit the occupancy thereof as sleeping quarters for one or more persons or the conduct of any business or profession, occupation or trade (or use as a selling or advertising device), and so designed that it is or may be or intended to be mounted on wheels and used as a conveyance on highways, streets or roadways, propelled or drawn by its own or other motive power.

Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not more than $500 or suffer imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. Every day such violation exists shall constitute a separate offense and be punishable as such hereunder.
