A.
It shall be unlawful for any person to locate a trailer or an automobile trailer, or to park or occupy any such trailer as a dwelling or business establishment, within the limits of the Borough of Lawnside except as provided in this chapter.
B.
No person shall park or occupy any trailer on the premises of any occupied dwelling or on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwelling, except the parking of only one unoccupied trailer in an accessory private garage building or in a rear yard in any district is permitted, provided that no living quarters shall be maintained or any business practiced in said trailer while such trailer is parked or stored.
C.
Emergency or temporary stopping or parking of an automobile trailer on any street, roadway or highway for not longer than one hour, subject to any other and further prohibition, regulation or limitations imposed by the traffic and parking regulations or ordinances for that street, roadway or highway, shall be excepted from the prohibition in this chapter.
D.
Trailers will only be permitted as a dwelling, when a residence principal dwelling has become inhabitable due to fire, water, wind or any other natural disaster, for a period of no more than 90 days, while the principal dwelling is being repaired. Only one requested extension can be approved by Zoning Code Official with said extension not to exceed 90 days.
