1. The fire limits within the City of Weatherford, shall be delineated
and described on a map of the City of Weatherford. The map shall be
known as the "Fire Limits Map" of the City of Weatherford, Oklahoma
and it shall be kept on file in the office of the Building Inspector.
The current "Fire Limits Map" is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" which
is incorporated in this Ordinance by reference.
2. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to build, erect, construct or cause to be built, erected or constructed,
or placed or moved within the territory described on the "Fire Limits
Map" of the City of Weatherford, Oklahoma, any building with metal
exterior walls; no mobile homes or movable buildings are allowed in
areas defined by the Weatherford Fire Limits Map. Exterior walls shall
be covered with brick, stone, or other approved non-combustible material.
It shall also be unlawful to rebuild any building, which has been
more than 50% destroyed by fire, except as herein stated.
No frame building shall be moved from without to within the
corporate limits of the City of Weatherford, Oklahoma, which by reason
of its age, state of repair, condition of wiring or which, for any
other reason, is unfit for human habitation or which might endanger
the public peace, safety, health or welfare.
All persons, firms or corporations who are now operating wash
racks, drains, and places connected with the city sewer system, where
cars, trucks, tractors, machinery, motors, and motor parts are washed
and cleaned, must comply with and meet all terms, regulations and
requirements contained in the following provisions of this article.
Television antennas of 40 feet or less shall be secured by a
minimum of four guy-wires. Television antennas exceeding 40 feet shall
be secured in a manner that meets with the approval of the City Building
Official.

The following standards are required in addition to the adopted
Building Code of the City of Weatherford.
1. Minimum Footing Sizes — 12 inches wide by 18 inches deep for
frame only structure and 16 inches wide by 18 inches deep for frame
and brick structure.
2. Ten feet separation for fire on structures or a fire wall shall be
installed.
3. Burying of gas piping:
a. Steel black pipe shall be a minimum of 18 inches to top of pipe.
Steel pipe shall be factory coated.
b. Plastic pipe shall be a minimum of 24 inches to the top of the pipe.
Plastic gas piping shall have a #12 insulated copper wire installed
adjacent to it.
c. All gas piping shall be tested at 20# pressure using a 30# gauge.
Test duration shall be 1/2 hour for each 500 cubic square feet of
pipe volume. When testing a system with 10 cubic feet or less or a
system in a single family dwelling, test time may be reduced to 15
minutes. For any system regardless of volume, test time need not exceed
24 hours.
4. A water test is required on sewer piping systems.
5. There shall be no drain smaller than two inch installed under slab.
6. Types of material for building sewer shall be schedule 40 PVC or
cast iron pipe.
7. All places of business shall have at least two means of egress located
as remotely as possible from each other. Location shall be approved
by the local Fire Inspector and/or the Building Inspector. Exception:
As listed in BOCA Building Code Section 1013.3.
8. Electrical non-metallic tubing shall not be used in any commercial
or industrial application. In residential uses it shall not be direct
buried, embedded in concrete or exposed outside a structure.
9. There shall be no conductor smaller than #12 AWG used for wiring
when conducting higher than 70 volts.
10. All wiring conducting higher than 70 volts within or on a commercial
or industrial structure shall be enclosed in an approved raceway.
All conductors enclosed within said raceway shall be accompanied with
a grounding conductor sized according to Table 250-95 National Electrical
Code.
