The City Clerk shall perform such duties as shall be required
by the City's charter or by ordinance or as otherwise directed
by the Council.

The City Clerk shall authenticate by his signature and record
in full in a book kept for that purpose all ordinances and resolutions
duly indexed and open to public inspection.

The City Clerk shall give notice of City Council meetings, shall
attend all meetings of the Council and shall keep the journal of its
proceedings.

In case of the temporary absence of the City Clerk, the City
Manager may appoint anyone qualified to act as City Clerk.
