From and after adoption and approval of this chapter, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to set up, place or erect signs, cables or wires of a permanent nature on Main Street in the Borough of Plymouth, Pennsylvania, without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Mayor of the Borough of Plymouth.
From and after the adoption and approval of this chapter, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to set up, place or erect any additional poles, brackets, stringers or supports or wire carriers of any character whatsoever of a permanent nature on Main Street in said Borough, except to necessarily replace existing poles, brackets, stringers or carriers as are now on Main Street, without first obtaining a permit to do so from the Mayor of the Borough of Plymouth.
The Mayor may issue permits for the erection of banners, signs, poles, brackets, stringers or wire carriers of any character whatsoever of a permanent nature on Main Street in said Borough.
