There is hereby established the office of Deputy Municipal Clerk
for the Borough of Dunellen.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be appointed for a term of
one year commencing January 1 and terminating December 31 in each
year or the unexpired portion thereof.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall perform the duties and functions
as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133e and such other duties as may be
assigned by the Municipal Clerk. During the absence or disability
of the Municipal Clerk, the Deputy Municipal Clerk shall have all
the powers of the Municipal Clerk and shall perform the functions
and duties of such office.
The compensation to be paid to the Deputy Municipal Clerk shall
be as the governing body from time to time provide for in the annual
salary ordinance and implementing resolution.
If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase,
or word contained in this article shall be declared invalid for any
reason whatsoever, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions
of this article, which shall remain in full force and effect and to
this end the provisions of this article are hereby declared to be
severable.
All other ordinances of the Borough, or parts thereof, which
are in conflict with this article are hereby repealed to the extent
of such conflict.
This article shall take effect upon passage and publication
as required by law.
