It shall be the duty of the Zoning Officer to administer and enforce the zoning provisions of this chapter.
a. 
No building permit shall be issued unless the plans are accompanied by an approved zoning permit.
b. 
No zoning permit shall be issued unless the proposed structure, use, temporary activity or construction activity is in compliance with this chapter.
c. 
In cases involving the new use of an existing structure, no Certificate of Occupancy for the new tenant shall be issued until a zoning permit has been issued.

a. 
It shall be the duty of the Zoning Officer, or his duly authorized assistant, to cause any plans, building, or premises to be examined or inspected to determine conformity or nonconformity with the provisions of this chapter.
b. 
When the Zoning Officer, in the course of his duties, determines that any plans, buildings or premises are in nonconformity with the provisions of this chapter, he shall order the responsible part in writing to remedy correct such nonconformity. Said written order shall specify the nature of the nonconformity found to exist, the remedy ordered and the time permitted for such action, the penalties and remedies which may be invoked by the Borough and the violator's rights of appeal; all as provided for by this chapter and by the laws of the State of New Jersey. On serving of notice by the Zoning Officer to the responsible party of any nonconformity with the provisions of this chapter, the Certificate of Occupancy for such building or use shall be held null and void. A new Certificate of Occupancy shall be required for any further use of such building or premises.
c. 
The Zoning Officer shall maintain a permanent record of all matters considered and all actions taken by him. Such records shall form a part of the records of his office and shall include:

Application File. An individual permanent file for each application for a permit provided for by this chapter shall be established at the time the application is made. The file shall contain one copy of the application and all supporting documents, maps and plans; notations regarding pertinent dates and fees and the like, as appropriate; one copy of the resolution of the approving authority, if applicable; and the date the permit applied for was issued or denied by the Zoning Officer.
2. 
Monthly Report. The Zoning Officer shall prepare a monthly report for the governing body which shall cite all actions taken by him, including all referrals made; all permits and certificates issued or denied; and all complaints of violations received and all violations found by him, and the action taken thereon.

It shall be the duty of the Municipal Engineer, Zoning Officer and Code Enforcement Officer to administer and enforce the provisions of subdivision and site plan approvals including requirements for maintaining fences, vegetative buffers, stormwater facilities, lighting and other site improvements.
