The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Building
Code as published by the International Code Council, Inc., and all
referenced standards, including Appendices A, C, D, E, F, G, I and
J, as if spelled out herein, save and except such portions thereof
as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, for the control
of buildings and structures as herein provided. A copy of said code
is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Sparta,
Missouri.

A.
The
2018 International Building Code, as adopted, is hereby amended and
changed as follows:
1.
Amend Section 101.1 to add the following language: The City of Sparta.
2.
Amend Section 109.3, Fee Schedule, by replacing the following language located in Section 500.026.
3.
Delete Section 113 in its entirety.
4.
Amend Section 114.4, Violation Penalties, by adding the following language at the end of the paragraph: The penalties are set forth in Section 500.195 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sparta.
5.
Amend Section 114.3 by adding the following language at the end of the paragraph: The penalties are set forth in Section 500.195 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sparta.
6.
Delete Section 1608.2 in its entirety, and provide a new Section
1608.2, to read as follows: Section 1608.2 Ground Snow Load: The ground
snow load for the City of Sparta, Missouri, shall be a minimum of
twenty (20) pounds per square foot.
7.
Amend Section 1612.3 to add the following language: City of Sparta.
8.
Amend Section 1612.3 to add the following language: 4/19/83 or any
future revision.
9.
Delete Chapter 34 in its entirety.
