A.
Legislative findings and statement of purpose.
(1)
The Town Board hereby finds that in recent years, there has been a marked increase in the number of motor vehicles parked on White Creek Road in the Town of Hoosick during the summer months due to its proximity to a small creek used for swimming. White Creek Road is a narrow Town road with several sharp curves. The parking of numerous vehicles on both sides of the road therefore creates a hazardous condition for normal vehicular traffic utilizing the road.

The purpose of this section is to protect the public safety, health, and general welfare of the people of the Town of Hoosick, and of the general public lawfully operating motor vehicles in the Town of Hoosick, by prohibiting the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of White Creek Road in the vicinity of the creek used for swimming.
B.
Scope of restrictions.
(1)
The parking of motor vehicles on either side of White Creek Road from its intersection with New York State Route 22 to Telford Road, a distance of approximately 1.1 miles, is hereby prohibited at all times.
(2)
The Superintendent of Highways shall cause appropriate signs to be posted on White Creek Road so as to give due and lawful notice to the public of this prohibition.
C.
Effective date. This section shall take effect immediately.
