No vehicle shall be parked upon the streets or in designated
municipal parking areas of the Village of Lima where parking lines
have been established, except within such parking lines. No single
vehicles shall occupy spaces in such parking areas more than sufficient
for its own use, except in cases of emergency or except for the loading
or unloading of delivery trucks. Each such vehicle shall be parked
in such a way as to be entirely within a parking area designated for
each such vehicle and shall not be so parked as to block the other
parking area in the front, rear or on either side.
"No parking" signs shall be placed on the following streets
at the following location:
A. Genesee Street, both sides, from Route 5 and 20 to College Street.
B. East Main Street, from the corner of Buell Avenue east to the west
side of Lima Auction Service.

C. Route 5 and 20, from the east side of the Charles Stuart property
to Genesee Street.

D. On the north side of Ziegler Drive, for the entire length of the
street beginning at the intersection of the south line of Ziegler
Drive and the east line of Rochester Street (NYS Route 15A), easterly
to the terminus of Ziegler Drive.

E. On the east side of the access driveway or lane leading southerly
from Ziegler Drive into the Mark C. Tubbs Memorial Park.

In those sections of the Village of Lima where parking areas
have not been designated by parking lines and parking is not otherwise
expressly prohibited, vehicles may be parked against the curb on the
right side of the street with the right side of the vehicle adjacent
to the curb. Where no curbs exist, vehicles may be parked on the shoulder
of the street entirely off the hard surface of the street and facing
in the direction of traffic flow.

A. The parking of vehicle is hereby prohibited in designated municipal
parking areas for a period of longer than 24 hours, unless the owners
of said vehicles are residents or guests of residents of buildings
contiguous to the parking area in question.
B. The parking of any vehicle with a gross weight over 8,600 pounds
is hereby prohibited in any designated municipal parking area.

No person, firm, association or corporation shall leave any
vehicle parked on any street in the Village of Lima between the hours
of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

No person, firm, association or corporation shall leave any
unattended motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer parked in the business
area of the Village of Lima, nor shall any person, firm, association
or corporation obstruct a parking area in the section designated as
the business area for a period of more than two hours between the
hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. daily, except on Sundays and legal
holidays, when the two-hour limit shall not apply, unless the legal
holiday shall be a business day for the commercial establishments
in the business area.

A. The standing or stopping or parking of motorized vehicles is hereby
prohibited upon or within the area of improvement of any public sidewalk
or walking path.
B. Motorized vehicles include all cars, automobiles, trucks, pickup
trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors, motorized scooters, minibikes,
dirt bikes, go-karts, motor-assisted bicycles, golf carts, and any
other motorized conveyance, vehicle or equipment. None of these motorized
vehicles are allowed or permitted to be driven, operate, stand or
stop or park on any sidewalk or walking path owned and/or maintained
by the Village of Lima or its instrumentalities.
C. This prohibition does not include:
(1)
Any public service vehicle owned and used by a municipal government,
such as the Village or Town of Lima, or Livingston County or New York
State.
(2)
A motorized wheelchair or similar device intended for and actually
utilized by a person with physical disabilities or physical limitations
making such chair or device a reasonable necessity.
(3)
Lawn mowers extending onto or within the public right-of-way
or being driven to a Village of Lima location from another Village
of Lima location for the exclusive purpose of cutting or mowing grass
at the destination, and returning to its point of origin. However,
it is understood that a lawn mower is not to be used as a mode of
conveyance, and that such use is a violation of this chapter.

A. No parking of any non-electric vehicle in proximity to the Village
of Lima Electric Vehicle Charging Station shall be permitted under
any circumstances, unless the station has been marked by Village personnel
as out-of-service.
B. No electric vehicle may park in a space designated for the Village
of Lima Electric Vehicle Charging Station for a period of time in
excess of that required to energize or fuel the electric vehicle.
C. No vehicle may park so as to partially or wholly obstruct or block
vehicular access in or out of any commercial or residential driveway
or access lane, or to block delivery of the United States mail in
any mail receptacle placed at the street.
