1. In addition to the powers provided by 53 P.S. § 66905,
relating to powers of police officers, and 42 Pa. C.S.A. § 6324,
relating to taking a juvenile into custody, police officers of Plumstead
Township shall, upon view and upon probable cause, have the right
of arrest without warrant when there is ongoing conduct that imperils
the personal security of any person or endangers public or private
property for the following offenses, consistent with Section 8902
of the Pennsylvania Judicial Code (42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8902):
A. Disorderly conduct (18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5503).
B. Public drunkenness (18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5505).
C. Obstructing highways (18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5507).
D. Underage drinking (18 Pa.C.S.A. § 6308).

Where a warrantless arrest occurs under §
10-401 of Part
4 of Chapter
10 of the Plumstead Township Code, a citation shall be issued to the defendant at the time of his or her release and, thereafter, the case shall proceed in accordance with Chapter
4 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure.

This Part does not and is not intended to limit any arrest powers
conferred upon duly sworn police officers under any federal, state,
or municipal law or regulation.
