This chapter shall be known and cited as the "Barrett Township
Zoning Ordinance."
This chapter is hereby adopted in order:
A.
To be consistent with the goals and objectives of the Barrett Township
Comprehensive Plan;
B.
To promote public health, safety, and the general welfare;
C.
To encourage the most appropriate use of land;
D.
To conserve and stabilize the value of property;
E.
To provide adequate open spaces for light and air and to prevent
the spread of fires;
F.
To prevent undue concentrations of populations;
G.
To lessen congestion on streets and highways.
