In the event that any portion of this code shall be held invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity and full force and effect
of the remaining portions hereof.
All ordinances of the Town of Kennebunkport in full force and
effect as of the effective date of the adoption of this code, which
said ordinances shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this
code, shall continue in full force until repealed.
This code may be revised or amended by a vote of the Town by
article or referendum at any Town Meeting duly called and held in
accordance with the laws of the State of Maine.
Any reference herein to the statutes of the State of Maine is
made to those statutes of the State of Maine in effect as of the effective
date of this code, together with any amendments to said statutes as
the same shall be made from time to time.
Except as permitted under the Town's home rule authority, in
the event of a conflict between this code and any provision of state
statute, the state statute shall control.
The code shall be effective at the conclusion of the Town Meeting
whereat an affirmative vote for the enactment was recorded.
