No person, firm or corporation shall construct or maintain, or cause to be erected, constructed or maintained, any miniature golf course or any golf driving course or golf driving tee upon his, its or their premises, or elsewhere in the Township of Union, without a license first had and obtained from the Township Committee of the Township of Union.

There shall be paid for each license issued for the construction or maintenance of any such miniature golf course a license fee of $500, for a term of not greater than one year, expiring on December 31 of the year in which said license is issued.

There shall be paid for each license issued for the construction or maintenance of any such golf driving course or golf driving tee a license fee of $75 for a term of not greater than one year, expiring on December 31 of the year in which the said license is issued.
No such license for the construction or maintenance of any miniature golf course, or for the construction or maintenance of any golf driving course or golf driving tee, shall be issued until the applicant shall first have filed with the Township Clerk an application specifying the premises on which it is intended to install such miniature golf course or such golf driving course or golf driving tee, and the name and address of the owner of the premises.
No license for the construction or maintenance of any miniature golf course, or for the construction or maintenance of any golf driving course or golf driving tee, issued under the provisions of this chapter, shall be transferable.
Any license issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to revocation for violation of any ordinances, rules or regulations of the Township of Union, which may pertain to the construction or maintenance of such miniature golf courses or such golf driving courses or driving tees.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to one or more of the following: imprisonment in the county jail or in any other place provided by the municipality for the detention of prisoners for any term not exceeding 90 days or by a fine not exceeding $2,000 or by a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, to become effective on the effective date of this section. Each day that any violation continues may be considered a separate offense.
