No person shall fly a radio-controlled model airplane in any
park in the Village of Tigerton except in areas specifically designated
and posted for such purpose.
Absent authorization by the Village Board, the use of metal
detectors and digging for buried objects on Village property, except
beaches where no vegetation is present, are prohibited.

A. Purpose. To protect and maintain a safe environment for individuals
to use and enjoy the OHV Park and Campground, the Village Board hereby
amends and adopts the following rules for the OHV Park and Campground
("park").
B. Specific regulations.
(1) Restrictions on motor vehicles.
(a)
Motor vehicles licensed with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
or similar agency may be operated on all park access roads.
(b)
Chapter 23, Wis. Stats., is hereby incorporated herein as if
fully set forth as to off-road vehicles.
(c)
ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, OHMs, jeeps, 4x4s and other vehicles shall be subject to Subsection
B(3)(a).
(d)
Three-wheelers, minibikes and go-carts are prohibited from operating
in the park.
(e)
A person using an off-road motorbike is permitted to use Quad
Park Lane for the sole purpose of transportation between County Highway
M and the park's entrance. Use of off-road motorbikes shall be
subject to the regulations provided in Wis. Stats. § 23.335.

Any person using an off-road motorbike to cross the bridge located
on Quad Park Lane shall be required to do the following, pursuant
to Wis. Stats. § 23.335(21)(am):
[a] Cross the bridge in the most direct manner practicable
and at a place where no obstruction prevents a quick and safe crossing.
[b] Stay as far to the right of the roadway or shoulder
as practicable.
[c] Stop the vehicle prior to the crossing.
[d] Yield the right-of-way to other vehicles, pedestrians,
electric scooters, and electric personal assistive mobility devices
using the roadway or shoulder.
[e] Exit the highway as quickly and safely as practicable
after crossing the bridge.

This subsection does not apply to authorized emergency vehicles,
as specified in Wis. Stats. § 340.01(3).
(2) Registration.
(a)
All off-road vehicles shall have current registration with the
State of Wisconsin or state of ownership.
(b)
No off-road vehicle shall operate in the park without a current
and valid park sticker.
(c)
Any person operating an off-road vehicle in the park shall pay
all required fees and sign any agreement or waiver as required by
the Village prior to use or operation in the park.
(3) Motor vehicle operation.
(a)
All state statutes, regulations, and local ordinances concerning
off-road vehicle operation, including those regarding youth operators,
shall apply in the park.
(b)
No person shall operate a vehicle at a speed exceeding 10 miles
per hour in the park, unless expressly posted otherwise or on a trail
or the challenge course in the park.
(c)
Helmets covering the entirety of the head are required for all
ATVs, dirt bikes, and OHMs.
(d)
There shall be a limit of one rider per off-road vehicle, unless
said vehicle is specifically manufactured to allow multiple riders.
(e)
All vehicles shall only be operated in areas specifically designated
for their use.
(f)
No person shall operate a vehicle in an unsafe or reckless manner.
(g)
No person shall accelerate in such a manner as to throw up dirt
or gravel from the wheels outside the trails or challenge course.
(h)
No person shall pull a trailer with an off-road vehicle without
express permission from park representatives.
(i)
No person shall operate any kind of motorized vehicle on a trail
designated for bicycles or hikers.
(j)
No vehicle shall be operated outside the hours set by the park.
(4) Burning.
(a)
No person shall start, tend or maintain any fire not in a personal
grill, fire ring or fireplace.
(b)
All unburned fuel and ashes shall be disposed of in such a way
as to prevent fires or damage to the park.
(c)
No person shall remove firewood without payment or cut any brush,
branch or tree for firewood.

Persons may bring their own nontreated firewood into the park.

Firewood shall be available for purchase in the park at a time
and place designated by the manager of the park.
(d)
No person shall burn any material but nontreated wood and paper
products within the park.
(e)
No person shall leave behind any noncombustible material in
any fire ring or fireplace.
(f)
Park representatives or any authority that has jurisdiction
over the park shall have the authority to prohibit open fires in times
where conditions cause said representatives to deem it unsafe.
(5) Permitted foraging.
(a)
No person shall remove any plant within the park without a properly
issued foraging permit.

Such permit shall only be valid for the removal of the mushrooms
specified within the permit.
(b)
No person shall remove more mushrooms than permitted by the
issued foraging permit.
(c)
All persons obtaining a foraging permit shall sign a waiver
before permit issuance.
(6) Miscellaneous provisions.
(a)
No person shall use any campsite without first properly registering
and paying any required fees.
(b)
No person shall camp in an area not designated for camping.
(c)
Except in an emergency situation, no person shall cause any
unnecessary and excessive noise between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
(d)
No person shall intentionally or negligently cut, remove, deface, or damage any plant, tree, shrub or turf without a valid foraging permit under Subsection
B(5).
(e)
No person shall intentionally or negligently damage, alter,
deface, conceal or remove any park property.
(f)
No underage person shall consume alcohol unless subject to the
exceptions provided in Wis. Stats. § 125.07(4)(b).
(g)
No person shall bring any firearm into the park. No person shall
bring fireworks into the park without prior approval by a park representative.

No person shall allow, or fail to prevent, a discharge of any
firearm. No person shall allow, or fail to prevent, a discharge of
any or firework without prior approval by a park representative.
(h)
All pets shall be on a leash or otherwise secured, and no pet
shall be permitted to make excessive noise so as not to injure or
annoy other patrons.
(i)
Any person in charge of any pet shall remove any fecal matter
deposited by the pet and dispose of it properly.
(j)
Persons shall urinate or defecate only in designated facilities.
(k)
No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any litter
or rubbish in the park.

All trash and recyclables shall be disposed of in the containers
provided by the park or removed from the premises and disposed of
properly.
(l)
No person expelled or requested to leave the premises by a park
representative, or any other person authorized to do so, shall enter
or remain on the premises until permission is given, the time of the
expulsion has expired or any other requirements for are met.
(7) Party to the offense and adult responsibility for minor children.
(a)
No parent, legal guardian or adult in charge of a minor child
shall allow or encourage any violation of this section by said minor.
(b)
Any person that participates in, encourages, promotes, or knowingly
helps conceal any violation of this section is deemed in violation
of this section and subject to citation.
(8) Enforcement and penalty.
(a)
Enforcement. Any law enforcement officer for the Village of
Tigerton, Shawano County or the State of Wisconsin, or any park representative
or Village Board member, is authorized to enforce this section.
(b)
Penalty. Those penalties set forth in §
1-4 of the Code are hereby incorporated with respect to any violations of this section.
